Armin van Buuren! Five years after entering the Top 10 of the DJmag Top 100 DJs poll, Armin van Buuren has been crowned the World’s No.1 DJ. Paul Van Dyk, winner of 2006 edition, shift at number 4, while Tiesto, winner from 2003 to 2005, once again came close to lifting the no.1 title. To be noticed the breaking into the Top 10 by psy-trance duo Infected Mushroom (Amit Duvdevani and Erez Eizen) just two years after breaking into the Top 100 as one of the highest new entries in history, and by french house dj and producer David Guetta.

With the release of ‘Put your hands up for Detroit’ Fedde le Grand became known to the world in 2006, winning the award ‘#1 summer anthem of Ibiza’ and reaching the number one position in the official UK singles chart later in November.Eminem’s Detroit based hip-hop crew D12 has created a wicked vocal version over “Put your hands up for Detroit’ released early 2007. Fedde created several remixes for Sharam, Freeform 5, Roog & Greg, Kurd Maverick, Tall Paul, Pete Tong, Camille Jones, Ida Corr, Anita Kelsey and Robbie Williams.
At the Winter Music Conference in Miami Fedde took home three International Dance Music Awards; Best Breakthrough Solo Artist, Best Breaks/Electro Sound, and Best Underground House Track. He also won two Danish Deejay Awards and the Australian MTV Award.
