Samsung SGH-D600E music phone review

Tuesday, May 16th, 2006

sgh

Jørgen Sundgot of Infosync reviews the Samsung SGH-D600E music phone, a model wich integrates a 2 Megapixel camera too, which “takes decent images under favourable conditions and also provides a good selection of options through which images can be shared with others - including, unusually, TV out.”,
The SGH-D600E music player supports audio files in MP3 & AAC formats, with a 4 band equalizer and 3D sound. Anyway, the reviewer considers the bundled earphones of average quality, and he is “less than fond of an adapter being required for connecting headphones with a 3.5 mm jack, as well as the fact that the non-standard output is also shared by the bundled USB cable.”
Camera Phone score is 70/100.
Pros:
Stunning display; decent 2 Megapixel camera; good connectivity; microSD expansion
Cons:
Poorly integrated music player; slightly chubby; limited browser

white label promo

Maurice Noah & DJ Phunk - Kraftgirl
Label: Dirty House Music
Cat: DHM 003

A entire cultural display made in .iso format and mounted with the virtual device of music. A long journey starting from late 70s electro-pop, passing through techno-waves, landing on the most innovative 2006 sound. Here’s what Kraftgirl is and sounds like.
More than a song, it just tries to explain what happened since the first synthesizer had been invented and employed to make music. An acid moogish bass, featuring really modern grooves, miscellaneous tunes and an 80’s-style vocals, whispering weird lyrincs in a perfect underground tradition, could really be a mirror for all the stuff had been played in all these years, throughout the Dj sets!
The original track is reworked by DJ Phunk, who get noticed for his new-electro remixes of the INXS songs “I need you tonight/One of my kind” and FELIX DA HOUSECAT smashing hits “Silver Screen” and “Madame Hollywood” , with “Funny Punky” single already being in John Digweed tracklisting on BBC1 and in top djs playlists such as Alan Braxe and Eric Morillo.

IRiver E10 mp3 player review

Wednesday, May 3rd, 2006

portable mp3 player
Cnet Asia has an early review of the brand new upcoming IRiver E10 model, a portable mp3 and video player with an 1.5 inch screen which supports ASF, MP3, Ogg Vorbis, WMA file audios, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 90dB, and MPEG-4, SWF for video (which means it plays Macromedia Flash files and support some downloadable Flash games as well) . It’s available in black or white colors, has a capacity storage of 6GB, and an extimated battery life of 32 hours.
The reviewer concludes: “The E10 is a delicious little tidbit of an MP3 player and will probably go on to be a flagship product for the Korean company. But whether it will have the technical/aesthetic kitsch to break out and dominate the markets outside of Korea remains to be seen. ”
Notice it lacks Bluetooth but it can be used as a programmable tv remote. The price for USA market should be around or below $200.
